Beech (TN)

Clint Harrington takes over the Beech program in 2021-2022 and must do so without the hammers that have led this team over the last several years … State Champs Trey Bates and Mason Smith as well as State Runner-up Donovan Rich. It will be tough for Beech to break back into the top 10 (in new 2A – still large school in Tennessee) in 2022, but that doesn’t mean that Beech doesn’t have a few hammers that will be in the mix in 2021-2022.

Blake Palmer and Cordell Griggs both finished 3rd in Region 6 a year ago (and given the Covid protocols last year did not earn a trip to the state tournament). That should change in 2022 and Palmer and Griggs should be amongst the favorites at their weight to be on the podium at the end of the season. Coen Myers, Cohen Oswald and Cameron Cain should also be in the mix for a trip to the state tournament in 2022. Those five should form the nucleus of Harrington’s squad … how well the team does will come down to the others in the line-up. Keep an eye on Daniel Hammonds, Tyler McDaniel, and Thomas Moore.
