Ravenwood (TN)

There is a lot to like about this year’s Ravenwood squad. The team still shares their district with Brentwood, Centennial, and Franklin as well as Region 7 with Summit, Nolensville, Independence, and Columbia Central, but this year’s Ravenwood squad is different. They have the opportunity to return all 14 of their starters from 2021 including State Qualifier Drew Dodson. This is a senior-heavy team with a lot of experience and is a team that could make some noise at districts, region and in the new-look 2A State Tournament.

Keep an eye on Noah Kang and Ammr Albarati as well as Will Parodi and Sachin Sashti. All four will look to punch their ticket to the 2022 state tournament in Franklin in February. Another name to keep an eye on is Jet Steinke – who could make some noise as a Senior as well.

“Ravenwood has a senior heavy team in 2021-2022 for the first time in a number of years. They will look to be competitive in Middle Tennessee. A school that has not had a state medal-winner since 2016, RHS has a few wrestlers that will hope to earn spots on the state podium in 2022. Senior Drew Dodson is looking to build on his 36-5 record and regional championship campaign in 2021. Seniors Noah Kang and Ammr Albarati are coming off a 3rd place finishes at 2021 Freestyle State. Both Kang and Will Parodi will look to lean on experience gained wrestling at Fargo Nationals to propel them this season. Senior Sachin Sashti is a returning regional medalist that is now a full-sized 106 pounder. Senior Jet Steinke (160-170) is also a returning regional medalist from 2020.”
