University of Tennessee Volunteer Wrestling will host an 8-team Dual Tournament on January the 16th. The event will be the first on-campus event since the club’s formation and will host NCWA Mid-Atlantic Conference rivals MTSU, ETSU, Northern Kentucky, and South Carolina, as well as NCWA Southeastern Conference stalwarts Alabama and Georgia.

Tennessee, MTSU, and Northern Kentucky met earlier this year in the MTSU Alumni Duals held at Stewarts Creek High School with MTSU finishing as tournament champions. With new coach Brad Perry taking over for the now-retired coach Don-Elia, ETSU looks to rebuild itself into the NCWA Mid-Atlantic championship mix. Northern Kentucky, a second year program, was impressive in its first season in the NCWA and continues to grow under the leadership of Club President Dakota Riley. MTSU, last season’s NCWA National Runner-up, replaced 6 seniors heading into this season and hopes to garner it’s young team some much needed experience before the stretch run into nationals this season. South Carolina and Georgia have each produced their fair share of NCWA All-Americans over the years, and Tennessee has experienced record growth and successes over the last few seasons under Coach Marcus Burgin.

The event will be at the HPER basketball gym 2C. Admission will be $5 for adults, free for kids, and free for students with their UT ID.
